The HYC Double Handed Race 2024 is set for Saturday, September 7th, with the first start at 10:00.

Following up to the feedback from entrants over the past editions, this year we have set an estimated race duration between 90 minutes and 120 minutes, allowing smaller boats like J80s and Puppeteers to compete alongside Cruisers and Non-Spinnakers. There will be four classes with prizes for both IRC and HPH.

The Double-Handed Race is a fun event that involves just two sailors per boat managing all aspects of sailing, including navigation, sail trim, steering, and tactical decisions. Teamwork and good communication will be the key to success in this race.

Race Officer Richard Kissane looks forward to seeing as many participants at the pier starting line to meet and surpass past competitor numbers.
